Recall: Hard to believe Transit needs more ‘hot air”

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford Transit models over an an inoperative HVAC system issue.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the auxiliary wire harness will disable the heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation (HVAC), including the defrost and defog systems. The hazards: an inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver’s visibility under certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Components:auxiliary wire harness

Affected vehicles: select 2023 Ford Transit vehicles equipped with the Special Vehicle Operations Accessory Service Kit #1 or #2 with a High Specification Vehicle Interface Connector produced between November 2nd, 2022, and January 28th, 2023.

Maybe we should have a recording of Farley talking about his EV vision included in every Transit. Unlimited supply of "hot air" to defrost the windows for a lifetime.

So embarrassing to be part of a company that puts products like this on the road.

When will our leadership be held accountable (as opposed to just attacking the salary team)?

I guess this is what happens when you out source EEE circuit/wire loom design and then shed over 90,000 man years of experience.

NEVER BUYING A FORD AGAIN!

OH WHAT FEELING - TOYOTA!

Priorities. As long as you hit your DEI targets some recalls and stop builds are OK.
