Just shuffled around to do another role, no regards to qualifications and skills. Hard to gain momentum when you are shuffled each time a bad decision is made. Sure, embrace the change, but if its a change for the better of the company being innovative etc...gladly, but this change is due to bad decisions. How embarrassing that they cannot keep their internal affairs in order, always shifting, lay off here and there. Nuff rant... I am looking for another job.

I'm interested in how the others deal with constant shuffling because I, like the OP @1gjo+1lvXgOSg, see no better solution than to leave.

Nothing new here, I’ve had a replacement manager avg. every 1 1/2 yrs. Been here over 24 yrs. and moved around at least 7 times but the checks still show up in my account every 2 weeks. I will admit it’s not optimal and very frustrating at times but that is life in a large corporation.
I always advise my new manager that the only constant is myself and my peers, like a sports team. If the team does poorly the one fired is the manager so it in their best interest to treat their team with respect and help remove roadblocks. There is enough daily stress without micromanaging and creating a toxic environment, there are exceptions and they should address those employees issues individually.
More roles and shuffles the more marketable, looks good on a resume. Appears you are in need of a headhunter.
Work your eight hours and go home. Who cares. Let them figure it out
OP here, I had 5 managers in 5 years, now it is my 6th after the latest lay off. They all shuffled us and I cannot/absolutely won't do it this time. I am tired of starting again, a boss who has no clue of my capabilities and skills. A market that is a $.h.l.+.h.0.L.3 that I need to clean up, once that's cleaned up, they move me again. Not this time. I am done. Looking for another job. I cannot keep starting every dam year.
yeah no other company is ran like att. it is a joke. anybody thinking of working at the cesspool please don't run far far far away and don't look back. it will be the best career decision you ever made.
That what happens when nepotism grows thick as moss. Young managers and AVPs who don't know jack about what they are doing. Pretty hard to see people promoted who can't qualify as janitors at other companies being elevated up the corporate ladder. Moved to this team, to that team in hopes they'll do well in one area. All the while completely screwing up and screwing over people while they try to figure it out.
I was sold every 6 months, I bumped a person who was less productive than others on the team. Just 1 year until modified rule of 75. So, I need to put up with this. If T wants older employees to leave, drop the modified part & let me go. Otherwise, I'll wait for the surplus.
I've had 6 supervisors in the last 5 years and as usual, the more things change, the more they stay the same!
Went through this for years. New bosses every year. It’s a total career ki-ler. You start over climbing the ladder every time. then you just start getting back up only to have it start over again with a new boss. I had 7 bosses in 5 years. Only thing you can do is jump to another team, leave or just live with where you’re at.
OP, you are doing exactly what the company wants you to do and that's to leave on your own volition without any severance pay! I get it though, at some point it just becomes insufferable! Best of luck to all!
The next few years will continue to be constant. Until legacy goes away, automation takes hold and debt is under control this will not stop.
