All of you in here sound pretty smart, but what prevents you from becoming a VP or higher executive roles? Obviously not smart enought ???
VK has a great opportunity to make his mark on the company and make it great again.
You don't realise how smart a move this is for DA, the sh1t is about to hit the fan and VK will have it pinned on him..... VK is fully aware of this and will be compensated generously paving the way for a nice retirement. DA already has his next move lined up ;)
I highly suspect more of the same plus the damage done would take minimum 6 -10 years to stabilise if in the rare case you had a CEO who's intention was to genuinely rebuild the company rather than to rob it.
But remember VK too had a boss to answer to. He has the opportunity now to set a different tone. We shall see. If not then he will be part of a GE idealism that brought down a once great company and he too will be mentioned in a Harvard case study.

Every time we swap out CEO’s there is a RIF right after that. He has another 5 years to build himself up, take his millions for ra-ing the poor saps at the bottom and live comfortably the rest of his life.
My sense is that after so many outsiders that came to load their pockets and destroy the once great brand perhaps we will now have a long tenured Honeywell employee that remembers the great days. It will be challenging but I wish him well.
