Managers,
If you don't support your employee growth, karma return back to you.

Dont let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya
What ever it happen, this is not win-win situation.
Manager win because he promoted the people he wanted
You win as you found another job, hopefully that is paying better than current job.
Stupid cisco lost the game, as one (probably talented) employee left and cost of hiring and training another one will occur. According to game theory no one wins.
"Did good quite a few times" - Something tells me that your manager knows exactly what he's doing
I did what he doesn't know or couldn't guess :)

I am the OP and I did good quite a few times. Somehow, my manager favored others and he is unprofessionally comparing me with someone all the time, particularly when I my health is not good. I believe he is totally biased and always wants to put me down. I am biased to a different company now.
Friends, don't waste your time depending upon other's judgement on you.
My manager told me that he doesn't want promote me, because others in the team are good
... and you are not good? Could that be the reason?
I have the feeling you don't provide us with all the facts.
Tell us more about this payoff you spoke of? How does this work?
Congratulations! Don’t look back. Bad managers don’t just stop your growth they impact your money, retirement and well being.
