Thread regarding Ford layoffs

To all 2022 Ford Fire-es who signed the waiver (Tax Implications)

In today’s mail delivery, I received a corrected 2022 W2 from Ford Motor due to the continuation of life insurance after my employment was terminated, presumably as a result of signing the waiver. Nice to get this five days before the filing date! The incompetence of Ford’s outsourced HR is truly astonishing.

@2jzr+1m4vjrTS - I also noticed that the retirement plan box was not checked. I was told by a tax accountant, that it will only be checked if still employed by Dec-31.

I received a corrected W-2 as well after I already filed. Interestingly enough, I had requested a corrected W-2 because the retirement plan box wasn't checked. Two months later and still no word.

Fxxxing Ford, I got my revised W2 today. Now I have to go thru the hassle of refiling an amended return. Ford is one BIG Clown Show!

@luc+1m4vjrTS that was not a W2, that was a pay stub.

I did not sign the waiver, and I still get W-2 from Ford for the health insurance.

Either way you got one.. I guess

So does the NESC pick up my CPA's charge to refile?
If it's not a big deal, how'd they sc--w it up?

No, it’s not a ‘big deal,’ just another example of Ford’s incompetence.

It’s not a big deal. If you already filed, you have 5 years you can do amended return. If you have not filed yet, put in for an extension.

Funny, I did not get one. Only thing I have got from Ford lately is the W2 for 2022 bonus paid out in March 2023
