Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Risk

There are a lot of unqualified people in Charlotte in roles that present a lot of risk if things aren’t handled correctly. This is the first time I have witnessed this degree of ineptitude at this level of power. CE is a shell of what it was, sales is comprised of those hanging on by their fingertips or trying to make it to retirement, SIP is being whittled down and paid later and later, price increases are continuous and above market. How long can this last? Is there a collapse pending ?

It’s been an incredible eye opener, after a very long career at HWL (HBT) to now be working for a direct competitor in that space. We love our employees (internally called associates) and the company sees us as assets and not “heads” or “cost”. It’s a different world where the belief is that decisions are made by those in the field who are empowered and close to the client.

What the heck happened at HWL over the last 10 years? A future Harvard Case Study I would think.

Sadly I agree, I have met my limit here in Charlotte. False promises and miserable reality. Fort Mill makes no sense. They should just sub let it immediately and save a ton of cash, makes more sense to relocate its tiny operations to Mexico. There is a LOT of dead weight there.

Charlotte is the most unqualified site in both SPS and CORP. Top heavy, little to no directs, duma$$es running CORP, SALES, and especially SPS ISC among other more important groups, the list goes on and on. The little a$$-wart stepchild Fort Mill is just as bad. September 2022 was my goodbye and I couldn't be happier!

The industrials industry can be pretty good, outside of Honeywell there are many good, stable companies. When Honeywell ruined every business it bought most of the high calibre employees left and started new companies, so expect more and more competition. There are a ton of big money opportunities out there where Honeywell is leaving a screaming great gap from failing dismally in everything, the previous monopolies are disappearing fast!!

In the Honeywell world one must enjoy today.
"Because at Honeywell, it always gets worse before it gets worse." Props to original poster of this quote!
In other words, today is the best day of the rest of your Honeywell employment.

By doing what they are doing with the company, DA and his criminal parasitic cohorts have successfully made a FUBAR out of every existing process and protocol that have been built up many years in the past - not all of them were good, but certainly a lot better than what the parasites are pushing now, all of which have one objective in essence - cull the work force to save cost so the next quarter can be made.
The company is completely broken, and the productive work force is getting thinner by the day.
It now has become a complete sh!t show every day, so enjoy as George Carlin famously said..

Honeywell doesn't give a sh-t. All about executives getting rich rich rich. Everyone else is just there to make it happen.

From my observation, there are a lot of unqualified people in all positions that hold any power, across the board. I’ve never seen it this bad. I suppose that’s what happens when the company uses layoffs of lower level employees as a budget management tool each quarter. Very few people left to do the work after decades of this practice. People either see what’s happening and bail ASAP, or they get laid off.

HBT global sales leadership used to be the envy of the industry and applauded by the sales team. The leadership today seem to think that leadership is about looking at just metrics and dashboards.

I’m gone now but still wonder what the heck happened. Who owns this sales global leadership mess that was created?
