Layoff logistic question. If someone says the “biz case” for the next round of layoffs is due on a certain date, how long after that date do the layoffs occur?

I heard for the business case being worked on right now. the off payroll date will be July 1.
Layoffs happen mid month or end of the month to coincide with payroll. Notifications now happen about two weeks before last day on payroll. Biz case gets submitted, give HR one or two weeks to process, then notification with 2 weeks notice, then you are out. TIP - Get your eyes checked and your teeth cleaned if you are worried about getting laid off. You get medical for a few months after layoffs ( you still pay your share) but not vision or dental.
Listen to the upcoming earnings call. You will be able to hear how bad it is from the reapers mouth.
Next round is June/July. This is already in the works.
Safe to assume round 3 for this year will be in September/October but that’s not confirmed yet. Depends on if they cut enough to meet their savings target in June/July.
AT&T, Please lay me off! It's the right thing to do, otherwise, I'll gladly continue to work until the age of 70 if they let me! Gasoline will be $5.75/gal by early summer and companies will continue to lay off in preparation for the upcoming recession all the experts are predicting. So, I'll continue to work just to collect an easy paycheck!
It all depends on who is being laid off and how the work will absorbed or picked up. If it’s union jobs affected, it could several months to a year depending on the contract and what legal and union executive advise.
Nobody knows. They reserve the right to change their minds on a whim at any point in the process.
