Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why isn't Charlie buying more shares back

Only 4B in share buybacks, at once in a decade low prices, what a mo--n. Price was near tangible book for days in the qtr. The entire balance sheet is like a diversified fortress. We have the lowest credit loss bps of any bank out there. Entire bank sells for 140 to 150b range and pulls in 20b in NI. So cheap, wtf is Charlie doing.

He might as well spend Billions trying to manipulate the stock price. It’s not like he’s spending to enhance technology, attract and retain talent, innovate, improve long- term growth, repair our reputation, get us out from under the Federal Asset Cap, or otherwise create value.
