Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Where are the rumors on the new pay levels?

I heard of talk about the removal of VALUES and they are replacing it with levels like 80,81,82,83, etc. Much like a place I worked at before. It allows them to have more specific ranges & benefits since the levels are super small compared to say the U band.

Would love to see tech managers no longer a U band and get some better benefits. Come on bring on the info!

I remember hearing from HR or TA that you are entitled to know for the min/med/max for the job code you’re currently in. Anybody know if that’s still true?

All Nike roles are slotted into job codes with min med and max salary guidelines. Frankly this sounds like a bs attempt using smoke and mirrors to “prove” they pay everyone fairly. It’s a ducking joke. Yes, bands are broad but the job codes are not.

Hoping it opens up flexibility for RSU to be offered to IC roles below principal. Would be good for retention.

I for one, look forward to people stop saying "Oh I'm an E band" or "I'm a U band" like its some entitlement.

Call me pessimistic but my bet is this change will be used to pay us less.

There has never been a company that offshores work for cost savings while also revving their pay scale for the few saps that stock around.

Or maybe Nike will slam on the gas & breaks at the same time. We’ve already had years of pi-s poor leadership running burnouts on our backs.

Yes everyone is quiet on this. People keep saying “keep an eye out” and “just wait until you see”, but no one actually reveals the details. So annoying

I worked for a national grocery chain and they also had levels that ranged from 83-89. Interesting!
