Poor treatment

Certain senior leaders are treating employees so poorly. It’s bullying. Toxic toxic toxic culture. Honeywell is going to end up paying some ugly karma.

@5znzo+1m9D1we3 I do not like to be the bearer of bad news but our new CEO is cut from the same cloth as those mentioned. There are also other equally toxic leaders in IA now. I work on the product development side of the business, it is the worst it has ever been here.

The new CEO is attempting to change the culture, although he is career Honeywell person who cherishes toxicity. He fired assho--es such as George Koutsaftes and John Waldron. Anyone in their right mind would not have hired these two id--ts to begin with but DEA was the pinnacle of toxicity and he encouraged Koutsaftes and Waldron to keep their a-s-ho--es behavior the way it was. The new CEO fired these two immediately.

In many aerospace and defence companies the clique at the top closes ranks to protect abusive and deranged individuals. Their ability to silence the rest of the workforce is coming to an end.

Where have you been? This has been going on for years. I remember one VP who "fired" his entire staff, several times. Yelling was legendary. Retaliation, too, from one Engines "leader" although the employee won at the end with a "cash prize." It may be getting worse, but this is legacy Allied culture.

What I don’t understand is that if the company is truly focused on saving money, making profit, etc it would make sense to be nice to employees so they don’t have to spend more money replacing people that rage quit. If they really wanted productivity they could inspire loyalty from people and get more out of them. So I think it comes down to making management a power hungry pssing contest to see who assert dominance and make people break. Then those managers can feel good about themselves that they’re tough enough to stay when in reality they’re real pieces of sit. This is the opposite of leadership.

@2lif+1m9D1we3 I feel the same way. I’ve been struggling after exceeding all targets every year but then being treated like cr-p and told I don’t measure up day after day.

I’m angry that so many people commenting have been treated so poorly. Seeing all these posts also made me realized I am not alone. These few months have been really hard because my manager makes it seem like I am treated like cr-p because I deserve it. I have worked through every single vacation and have continued working even when I had COVID. Just two weeks ago I had my laptop at my doctors office while waiting in the reception area. Manager calls me to yell at me saying I am not dedicated enough to this job. I’ve been so stressed I literally thought I would drop de*d at some point.

Rank the leaders in terms of toxicity. That would be great for the Board to know as they plan the future.

Its definitely a Honeywell culture for even in another country outside of the US of A, the same toxic culture is evident where these so-called leaders are extremely arrogant and goes around hurling deragotary remarks to everyone below them that its hurtful and downright demeaning. Its a culture most condone by the deranged Mike M when he was running the AERO ISC where peoples' feelings are non-existent and chasing after revenue is everything. If the top most echeleon has this type of mindset, what more for those that are below him . Its dangerous field that they playing where in one day it may change the mood of their staff and an exodus of people out of Honeywell may be the oblnly acnefote

Ottawa, is known for it's toxix management & employee behavior. It goes way back with the Walk..., Need..& Desch family along with the employees they hired. It's cursed, F$$ked & will never change. LEAVE!!!

I believe Corporate should outsource all Ottawa products to India. It's a gravy train for Honeywell! Who the heck needs to deal with overpaid, dissatisfied, toxic workers & management. Wake-up you guys.

This is certainly true at the abysmal Canadian operations (Kanata, Mississauga, Cambridge, etc.) which are revolving doors. They lean heavily on hapless contractors now -- immigrants, industry has-beens, and other hapless shemps -- as they cannot attract competent talent.

I’m fairly new to Honeywell and the treatment I have been on the receiving end of, as well as having witnessed, is appalling. These people would have been shown the door at my last company but it seems to be condoned, if not encouraged at HON.

Degrading those who are vulnerable makes them feel powerful.

The bad behavior starts at the top. The culture here has always been to beat, burn, and belittle the employees. None of this is new. Stay around, or don't.

The way I was treated in my last 12 months there was beyond disgusting, I will never forgive them. The RIF was a mercy.
I pray that my manager and director have the worst karma and misery. I have never wished anyone ill in my life but Honeywell changed me.

Honeywell has created the most toxic work culture in the US. Get alive and leave that place. This is just a matter of having self respect.

Someone really needs to step up and fix the culture. Unless they actually want everyone to leave. I say run and don’t look back

My friends and family have been shocked when I tell them how my manager treats me and talks to me. I think there will be a day when I absolutely lose it when I talk to them, and that day is near.

It’s become a running joke among my friends to see what condescending, degrading s**t comes out of my managers mouth every week. Not to mention the “constructive feedback” I am getting is utterly useless. This fear based environment approach is so outdated.
