First time I’ve seen this type of job opening from Marketing & Sales. Job and description is on the corporate jobs site.
US Dealership Retail Network Specialist
Mexico (Hybrid)
Isn't that what Visteon did? Which to note was Ford prior to 2000.
By 2030, all of Ford's salaried workforce in SE Michigan will fit into the glass house. Everything else will be elsewhere.
You've been warned.
It is going to India. 80% of Purchasing operations are already there.
Likely. I'm training some as we speak.
Quote @2ivh+1mAAKZ1K: "We should not manufacturing one single vehicle or one single component outside of the USA!"
Good luck with that. Here is the list of the Top 10 Suppliers in North America
As ranked by 2021 original-equipment parts sales to automakers in North America.
1 Magna Canadian
2 ZF German
3 Denso Japanese
4 Lear US
5 Bosch German
6 Flex-N-Gate US
7 Forvia French
8 Panasonic Japanese
9 Continental German
10 BASF German
It has been awhile since I looked at this list and one thing that surprised me was how big Flex-N-Gate has grown. Looking into my crystal ball, I think the next shakeup in this industry is going to be Shahid Khan buying out the Ford family. He has a net worth many times over that of the entire Ford family. He owns a football franchise that is actually successful and he even owns an English Premier League club. He competes on two continents in two different sports at the highest of levels.
Amazing when you think about it. He is a American dream success story. Pakistani immigrant comes to the US for a better life. Gets a college education at UIUC. Starts his career as an engineering director at a small supplier that makes bumpers for the big three. He eventually buys out the companies founder and growing it to the giant it is today.
How would that be for a laugh and twist of fate. Small supplier that got their start suppling bumpers to Ford ends up owning Ford Motor Company. We could only be so lucky. This man is driven. He wants to succeed. The Ford family only is interested in this business as long as they get next dividend check.
This is only a starting point. We should not manufacturing one single vehicle or one single component outside of the USA!
Everything should be made in the USA in deep south states where they know how evil unions are.
We will get there brothers and sisters.
Maybe true @1luq, but the ‘leadership’ , a term used loosely, has not changed. And we all know that is the problem. The ‘leadership’ and all their groupies of the friends and family variety, and the wholly incompetent ru-p kissers who will take the place of any of the ‘leadership’ who depart.
The toxic ineffective Ford culture has been replicated in every country Ford sets up operations in. Billy boy has yet to figure out the common denominator.
Have any of you seen the Ford technology facilities in Mexico? They are very capable to handle any duties that are assigned from the company.
They want to outsource as much as they can.
Wouldn’t put it pass them. Many jobs are going to Mexico.
Yes, there is NO truth to that . . . maybe.
