Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Are they using real quintiles this year?

I understand that last year the quintiles weren't true quintiles. Greater than 60 percent were in the top 3. Are they doing the same thing this year?

@1hxr. Correct. Not strictly "quintiles" anymore, but they use the terminology even the distribution is back to a normal distribution

Not a strict 20% in each category anymore. There is a min and max % allowed to be distributed in each. As long as they meet that guideline they are good.

Supposedly 70% in top three categories (don’t do quintiles anymore) with 5% NSI.

@1klz+1mArFpsf I'm sorry but what you say is mathematically impossible. A circa. 20% split for each quintile is nothing like a normal distribution around the midpoint.

It's like that every year. In order to make the math work out there is a normal distribution with the peak almost centered over VG. Lots of VG, more than 20%, therefore top 3 buckets more than 60%. They can tweak the distribution with some offsets and biases, but it will be close.

Wtf makes you say these post are by people during the work hours? Maybe you are NSI! Who has verified the times these show they were posted is correct? How do you know the person isn't on a vacation day? Are you one of the people that yells their lies thinking yelling it makes it truth?

Same percentage range as last year for each bucket.

I'm taking less break time asking the question than the guy lurking on this forum waiting to make nasty comments.

Ummmmm, who cares. Did you realize pause and take a break from your job to post this on Layoff.com? This is why we have NSI people
