AT&T was a force to be reckoned with? Deep pockets, I mean deep, deep pockets. If leadership wanted something (within reason) they bought it. In out region there were always line trucks being built and delivered for &200K - $300k a pop.
Nowadays Stankey is robbing Peter to pay Paul. It's a horrible was to live. With debt of $135K, I doubt this company will ever retire this debt.

The debt has been going down. AT&T righting the ship.
Oh no. I heard the word "debt" and just wet my pants.
It’s like the government. Bad leadership created lots of failed deals resulting in lots of debt. Cheap money becomes more expensive and now you have issues paying your debt.
No southwestern bell telephone was cash cow we bought AT&T back because Randall Stevenson run that company into ground and now has run us into ground
Remember when AT&T has these pay phones all over the place where people had to put money into the phone to make a call? Now that was making money.

T still has enough money to sponsor PGA tournaments like Pebble Beach Open and the ATT Byron Nelson Classic every year! T can't be too bad off if the finance team can find the dollars to give away like this. This boggles my mind! T can't take care of its own employees, but has dollars enough to throw at the PGA. I'm truly done after this year!
The bobbleheads that vote down something like this, that is very factual cause me concern. My only solace is that they think the are special, but will soon discover that they just a "cost" to be trimmed on the way to a "Industry Leading Cost Structure"
