Why was Nexus Cloud cancelled as a product?

Why did they cancel nexus cloud as a product? This was supposed to be our new saas controller for data center networking. Now we have nothing. Everybody was very excited about this now we are all looking at arista.

"Cloud compute and storage was up for design and implementation a decade ago."

It was over a decade ago. Closer to 2010.

It’s not cancelled. This is fake news.

It really seems like Cisco can't figure out anything cloud, and the wheels are starting to come off the bus. JD is in over his head and they need some real EN leadership fast. Too much reliance on arrogant PMs from a particular country that are out of touch with customers and making very complicated products and licensing schemes that customers hate.

Take a look at CLUS presentations. See if you can find mentions of Nexus Cloud. Quite a good indicator.

It was cancelled? This has been hyped for 12 months now. Is this real or fake news?

They are going to port it to CNC … Meraki is just the framework

Cisco networking cloud is years away. Why spend millions building nexus cloud to cancel it now? Arista customer does not want meraki that is for stores not data center.
