Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Nothing will change as long as we do double workloads

It is simply unbelievable how they are willing to risk the remaining good, hard working employees leaving their jobs but it is difficult to expect anything to change for as long as we are willing to do all the extra work assigned to us.

The leadership needs to realize that it is necessary to make replacements when people leave, because those of us who are still here are paid for the work of one person, not for the work of several people.
I'm too tired and I don't intend to do double workloads anymore.

Salaried but done at 40 hours even though there is more work to be done. When it's time to leave the office, log out, leave, drive home and spend the evening with my family and forget about it the cr-p piling up until the next day. If they want more, they need to hire more people. Family time is more important than completing another "work unit". It's time you can't get back. Not interested in working more for pay either, time more valuable.

It’s the Big Squeeze for sure. We’re down 2 on our team since the end of last year and we’re told that there would be no hiring at all this year. Guess that means they won’t be replacing me when I quit.

Our team lost two and neither is being back-filled. Obviously the expectation is the remaining crew will pick up the slack.

True - there are many of us doing the jobs of 3 and even 4 other people who left.

Ridiculous.

As long as we fill in the gaps, no reason for management to change.
