Cisco won't do well until Execs start really treating employees rather than...

If you people wrote code that worked the development budget would be many times what it is. If the executives failed it's in not laying off the people causing this level of damage early on, which would include a lot of really bad management and technical "leadership."

...focused on their own comp and stock price.

Name a company worth over $200B that does things differently.

If I see one more exec posting on LinkedIn saying I traveled to so and so and had a great visit, while the rest of us can't travel...

Poorly managed companies use universal rules that don't serve all their business interests rather than being able to fine tune policies to bring more value. You clearly know it's not happening here so if you really have the talent that justifies these expenditures sell that talent to a better managed company. If you don't care enough to better your own circumstances stop complaining that others aren't doing it for you.

The analysts know that all Cisco does is buy back stock and covert to RSU's right back to ELT

The $200m is mentioned in a footnote in the press release. It’s always hidden down in the small print somewhere. I have no idea if it was mentioned on the call-probably not.

@1neb+1mF5WyEm Because the ELT practically eliminated the travel budget. And now they are cutting it more.

@1otw+1mF5WyEm Was this Q4 restructuring cost mentioned during the call? Reason I ask is that I don’t see it mentioned on the investor page.

“Should come as no surprise that the 23% reduction in Product Sales is due to a weak sales force that works part time from home”

Elon Musk, is that you?

Cisco is a follower these days and not a leader.

Cisco is no longer acquiring the companies that lead. FTFY.

Cisco needs root and branch refocus and simplification. The only innovation coming under CR tenure is new ways to license and nickel and dime. No meaningful technical innovation for fifteen years. Missed a ton of industry transitions and late to the party on all the rest. Cisco is a follower these days and not a leader.

Call was budgeted for 60 minutes and ended about 15 early. I took that as a bad sign.

Scr3wing customers with double digit increases in licensing fees for continuously broken software is an upside for the company!

I'm guessing you kids no longer know how to add gigabytes of dead code to require upgrading hardware every three years because the system images won't fit in flash or run in the RAM available? Slackers...
