A national role is one in which you are not market based meaning you don’t have specific operational or customer facing responsibilities for specific markets. Your role might be in CTO, National RAN, National Sales. Honestly if you don’t know of your in a national role you have other concerns. Any mgmt level employee knows the difference between national, regional and market based roles and organization.
“ Those who might be in national roles reporting those locations may or may or be forced to relocate to a hub depending upon what the business unit leadership decides.”
What is a “national role?” No one has been clear about that.
Customer facing of those in what are considered operational postions such as market focused construction and engineering, market RAN, field operations etc , will stay out and report to there current assigned office location (unless due to some geographic redundancy an office is closed). Of your office location is a MTSO, CO etc, those are staying put and market based employees remain. Those who might be in national roles reporting those locations may or may or be forced to relocate to a hub depending upon what the business unit leadership decides.
3-5 days a week to your web phone location required. The only avenue for pushing back would be to unionize at this point. Commute or quit, they don’t care which you pick.
They were trying to do this before COVID. Three years later and they still don't have answers.
was wondering the same, for instance OSP engineers that are management
If you work at a client office you probably can still do that
