Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The WARNING signs were so evident. Told you so.

Stank mentioned back in 2020 that they may end up freezing the pension to save money.
2021, layoff after layoff, loss of health benefits for those retiring after 12/31/21.
2022, the segment rate increase caused 35-40% loss in pension lump sum for those eligible (this affected thousands and thousands of employees).
2023, layoff after layoff, transfer of At&T pension to Athene (insurance company with a C- rating), RTO, and now relocation to a hub city.
Next step, Athene goes belly up and affects retirees that make less than $2200 a month in annuity.
And most of you will still stay and think they are in it for your best interest.

I left in November of last year and kept all of my pension in tact. I was no where ready to retire but I surely didn't want to lose close to $200k in my pension!!!! The writing was on the wall!

All of you should focus on what is best for your family and that's it. Make the move before 8/1 when the pension is transferred to Athene!!!

"Athene does not have C- rating. Cite your source."

It's so easy to find. Must I hold your hand to find that info?
Never mind, it's an A grade insurance company. Now go about your life.
