Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Transformation team

Well that was a dud. So all they’re doing is making use cases so we can sell “solutions” to them, which are really just our existing products, sold the way they’ve always been sold.

The OP said this:

"Well that was a dud. So all they’re doing is making use cases so we can sell “solutions” to them, which are really just our existing products, sold the way they’ve always been sold."

The response "Was is a solution?" was in reference to this:

"I just transformed last night's dinner this morning. Similar process."

which not the OP.

This statement "I just transformed last night's dinner this morning. Similar process." and the original roughly translate to "The same old $h!t."

Now "Was is a solution?" in reference to the ACTUAL OP makes sense.

Sounds like you need to transform last night's dinner to relieve some of the tension.

But with new names. Always new names. Spend years building brand awareness around a still profitable product but hey let's rename it so it fits better in the suites. Remember, suites are sweet, people!

A reinvention of the wheel(as OP says essentially doing what Cisco does already). ELT making organisations and strategies up so they are gainfully employed for another FY.
All the money spent on this would’ve have been better spent on proper code testing, better customer support - things which are useful for customers.

"sell solutions not products". Wasn't that an old Dilbert cartoon?
