Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Good video CBS Money Watch discussing employees and companies battling over RTO policies

https://youtube.com/watch?v=5ZfKGiCmuVA&feature=share

An interesting excerpt talks about the 3 main priorities for employees now. They care about:

  1. Job security - 👎 at Wells, intentionally destroyed by Charlie
  2. Share price - 👎 at Wells, dessimated by Charlie not prioritizing the Fed Asset Cap
  3. Flexibility - 👎 at Wells, required 3 days RTO even when it is unjustifiable for certain positions, Charlie unwilling to commit to a Flexible Hybrid model, forced HUB strategy, 10 or more hour days expected by many Exempt employees

Video also talks about executives touting common PR messages “Employees are our greatest assets….” not being true when it comes to decisions made and what is said in the background. Employees are often talked about in a negative connotation on earnings calls.

Most all the good people already left. C-suite thinks they so smart being able to hire 4 people in India for every on-shote job. Not realizing it takes 5 people in India to do one person's job. And we wonder why the asset cap isn't listed.

I'll oppose RTO to whatever end. It's bad for the company and bad for employees also. In some roles and LOBs it might make sense, but not as a blanket policy, and everyone knows it. F them for trying to we-ponize this against the good people that have built this company and earn it $20B/year. These hacks in NYC don't produce any sales or anything else of value. They should all be fired.

Do you think Wells is offering severance out of the goodness of their heart? 😂

They do it for one reason only: to shield themselves from lawsuits.

For this and several other reasons, your response is ridiculous.

There isn’t job security anywhere. What if they get the share price up, and get rid of RTO, but severance is eliminated? Does that work as a compromise?

We all know RTO s*cks! Do the right thing Charlie!! Start the trend to make us happy!
RTO has nothing to do with collaboration--it's about how many people quit (no severance) and how many people don’t comply and get terminated (no severance).
