you'd have to prove they laid you off because of age. seems most lay off ls are and shot guun approach hitting many people, not just limited to older employees. definitely sux especially that late in life/career but I doubt you'll have much luck.

Why is everyone cheering what he said ? The point was loyal hardworking employee given the ax at 35 years!!! 35 years of loyalty! Did not plan on retiring yet. Why should their life be ruined by this management and their poor stupid decisions. I hope he sues and gets a huge settlement!

After 35 years you get an entire years severance and will be 64, that’s pretty close to retiring not a bad deal honestly.

One of thousands of lawsuits against our corrupt company. I am looking to join a class action lawsuit for age discrimination. I was laid off at 63 after 35 years with zero chance of getting another job. This company will continue to pay out lawsuits and fines. Fire this CEO!

Wells Fargo and several of its executive board directors on Friday were hit with a shareholder lawsuit in California Northern District Court. The complaint, filed by Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check on behalf of the City of Hollywood Firefighters’ Pension System, asserts that the defendants defrauded customers by misrepresenting several of its financial products which led to improper interest and rates on mortgage and car loans, as well as charging illegal overdraft fees and misrepresenting fee waivers. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:23-cv-02445, City of Hollywood Firefighters’ Pension System v. Wells Fargo & Company et al.
