Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Failed DEI initiative is what we are in the midst of

70 % of leadership is “new” or in a new org, according to Santone/Stankey. Cough, 70% of new leaders fall into the curated DEI boxes, great we have a diverse set of “leaders”, but there is very little leadership skills within these new leaders. T failed to develop and then promote, instead went to check off boxes. I am not advocating to go back to good ole boy network but we did have solid leaders in the past. What T needs is a Solid leadership program from top to bottom that develops and then promotes. And it doesn’t have to be within the Hub location only, up until the last x years we thrived on our diversity of locations and meeting actual customer needs. T leadership failed us, it is not us who failed them.

My leadership up to Level 4 is new and untrained. Doesn’t know how to communicate, has no ability to question their leadership or push for more info. They act just as a funnel, zero guidance or management. And they question how the survey shows lack of trust in leadership.
