Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Farley informing is through the press…

When his comments start “ the company will stop competing,” and go on to say “electric vehicle manufacturing plants will be far more efficient, with nearly 30% less labor,” this says 30% fewer employees across the board, including salary. This means the size of the Board of Directors should be reduced 30% as well, starting with everyone named “Ford.”

Did this clown take in account the 60% reduction in annual sales that will result from the EV push?

Gas stations aren’t going away overnight, and the most soon to be valuable commodity in your possession, will become used ICE vehicles. Everyone will want them in defiance of these napalm firebooms that go poof in the night.

The question is, can these corporations stay financially solvent before ICE really goes away? I bet not.

Just move from blue to E.

Job security is here no matter what your performance because of being understaffed, refreshers and grants are absolutely guaranteed no matter the state of the rest of the company and the workplace perks in the office are super nice.

Brilliant - Demand is low, so raise prices.
Dealers can’t move product because banks won’t loan money at the over-priced vehicle rates, so raise prices and claim we only want to sell to the affluent.

Wow just wow such an amazing strategy and business plan. Do they teach this at Harvard? Or is this a Georgetown special?

Funny to hear JF talk about the state of the company. In his own words he was a "CAR GUY". Walked around trying to be the second coming of Bob Lutz. Sorry to Say Jimmy... Your no Bob Lutz.. In fact you could not even but on his shoe.
We departed markets because of you and BF an Art Van the furniture guy. So good luck with this what ever you are trying to do...
but I am sure it will be a case study in Harvard Business School on what not to do..

Farley claims “we tried to be all things to all people.”
We sell PICKUP TRUCKS.
Farley needs to comprehend that Ford is nothing to most people.
