When att bought bellsouth they converted craft pensions to cash balance plans. Another way the company stole benefits back. My pension was literally cut in half from that change. Of course the do nothing union never even attempted to fight it. CWA just rolled over and showed its belly like it always does.

What do you expect when the union president wears well worn knee pads to their management meetings.
The contract was agreed and signed off on the change by membership. Don’t know if they fully realized the repercussions.
The do nothing Union you speak of must be compromised of people such as yourself. Want to complain like a little baby and do nothing in return to help strengthen "your" Union.
