I can tell you. My director has a bunch of 20 min meeting back to back with 10 min breaks. Check other weds on the calendar and this is out of the norm. Looks like potential 12 people will be gone out of 40ish. It’s ok if you think this is bs, it’s not. Good luck.

I just got my notice. I am in CA but last day on role is end of June? Any others in similar situation?
I’m in NJ. Got my notice. I’m off role at the end of august and then I get my severance, prorated bonus.

There's a town hall happening with Nancy Clark now. The OP&OO Organization will be impacted for sure. Sampath mentioned earlier there will be (without directly saying so).
WNO here - one director and 10 6Vs that I know of so far from my VP group.
GNO within VGS was impacted. Lost someone on my team. Scary because GNO is already not that big of an org as it is..

Hearing potential layoff at Verizon coming today. My husband said everyone in the organization has meeting time scheduled. Anyone heard about this?

I know people that were told on a Tuesday, some on Wednesday, and others on Thursdays. There is no set day of the week, it is just the payroll week. Some orgs give earlier notice to those they are letting go. A guy on my team was told on a Tuesday about 4 years ago. These have been going on since prior to Verizon getting the Verizon name.
They might be figuring that since Monday is a holiday, they start a day earlier than usual knowing a lot of people will be going on vacation Thur-Fri
If they are truly doing it Wednesday that breaks a several years consistent pattern. Wonder if there are too many to do in one day. That or it's some other bad news.
With EVERYONE I reached out to today and having the meeting at the SAME TIME, I do not believe good news will be delivered. Especially after getting the news last week that two higher ups are leaving the company.
