Cisco is posed to engage in one of the most massive LRs in its history.

Cisco tossed 27% of the company in 2000 and the numbers I'm seeing is that they have about 80,000 people now. You're saying they budgeted $200M for restructuring and are going to toss close to 21,600 people? Bully for them if they pick the right people this time.

HR is not there for the employee. They are there to protect the Company.

"I have a story to tell of astounding psychopathy by Cisco HR and leadership. It will break at some point."

It's no different at other publicly traded companies, predators can easily hide in large institutions.

LOL. Saw someone destroyed by her manager and HR did nothing. They don't give a damn.

Cisco's leadership wants their employees to believe they're victims that need the ELT to take care of them.

@1zla+1mLAGwh2 not trivializing mental health, but there is some truth to what you post. Sometimes I feel like the powers-that-be are happy to guide you towards self-diagnosed mental stress, rather than address the root cause of a problem.

LOL @ fake illnesses like depression. They should rename it U.S. Weak Willed Awareness Month.

I calculated yesterday that in our part of the company, by next Monday we will have had 2 work days out of the last 8 work days. Much of that lost 6 days was devoted to dubious outcomes like “mental health”.
In 20 years, the bosses of dr-g companies will be dragged before congress to explain their role in the medicalization of “mental health”. It will be as big a scandal as the tobacco companies introducing smoking into the movies to make it “glamorous”.

I need a damn salary increase; that's what can cure our mental health.

I just drink a six pack of Bud Light when I feel upset; and then suddenly the world is glamorous!

Or depressed and lonely from all the politics and games.

The great advantage of the Hybrid Workplace is that if you are feeling depressed and isolated working alone from home, you have the opportunity to come into work and feel depressed and isolated working alone in an empty office.
