Wells belongs to ALEC and a bunch of other trade org's dedicated to making sure wages don't go up and CEO's make all the money.

But sure, we don't want WF employees to have a union rep'ing them.

Only shareholders get reps! Suuuuuuuck it employees, you'll get what we give you and like it!

Also, the folks posting abour Warren....WF did crimes, Warren isn't your enemy, your enemy is a culture of crime at WF going back years.

But sure, do the usual conservative thing and blame someone else. LOL.

Wow working direct for the Mob, and paying them monthly sounds amazing.

it's pretty obvious that anytime a union post comes up, bro living in his mom's basement upvotes his own post. L o s e r

...and true to form I just watched one of the company shills (who pathetically do it for free) sit there spamming downvotes on this post over and over. A fascist will never let truth get in the way of big business.

Lol give it up dude, you or some other Qanon nutcase (big surprise reveal there) was busy spamming dozens and dozens of downvotes on the union thread in the middle of the night: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1mKD2CZf

Spare us the crocodile tears about democracy whenever it threatens the big money whose hand is up your a-s. You're sincerely only wasting your own time with the transparent lies: the only people d-mb enough to believe them already think like you.

the union posts seem to be getting alot of inorganic upvotes/downvotes. Typical... of our day and age. Same thing happens with elections, oh wait no it doesn't...only in 2016 was that a thing. Such a clown world we live in.

Unions must be desperate, they're doing their classic 20 up votes for mobster speech.

Ha, Wells basically offers all of those items already with even a better 401k match and PTO. And who cares about min wage? You shouldn't be striving for min wage. Think bigger.

Also note that Beneficial bank in CA took almost 1.5 years to ratify their first union contract. That is a tiny bank, how long will it take a bank of this size to get a contract?

Here is what they got: https://nwlaborpress.org/2021/09/beneficial-state-bank-signs-first-union-contract/

“covers about 96 workers at 13 branches in Oregon, California, and Washington

Ratified by workers on Sept. 26, the agreement sets a minimum hourly wage that starts at $20.50 and reaches $22.25 in 2023, with even higher minimums in high-cost areas like Oakland, where the wage will be $28.60. Under the contract, workers will get a $1,000 ratification bonus, at least two weeks paid vacation a year, and up to 12 days paid sick leave annually. The agreement also increases a 401(k) match to 5% of salary (up from 4%), and adds a “just cause” standard for discipline, and a grievance process workers can use to contest wrongful discipline.”

Unions provide:

  • better pay
  • better benefits (including pensions)
  • greater job security (it's harder to get pushed out when you're union)
  • greater overall stability (it's not as easy for incompetent management to make massive sweeping changes every couple of months when a union contract requires greater approvals, mandated training, etc.)

Unions exist to make employees' lives better in exchange for relatively small dues - dues that still have you coming out ahead (otherwise no one would vote for it).

If the contact being put forth doesn't accomplish the above, then simply vote 'no' on it, as most others would too.

But so many of you won't even consider a contract. You'd rather be used, abused, and miserable. You'd rather spout vague stereotypes about unions without even knowing what it is that you'd be saying yes or no to.

For the rest of us that have independent brains, we'd rather at least see what's on the table before sounding like a red neck from the 1970s living in their camper going on about how "unions are crooks! My pa said so!"

There are no guarantees in life. No one is saying that belonging to a union would guarantee sunshine everyday of your life until retirement. But your daily existence would almost certainly be much better than it is now.

How much longer will you continue fighting against your own interests? Aren't you tired of licking boots yet?

A union cannot fix these troublesome areas at WF:

Work culture
Job opportunities

If all one cares about is the status quo, being unhappy at WF while getting some sort of worker protections while paying dues, I guess go for it.

yawn, unions are about as useful as elizabeth warren. Puppet and fake establishments to give you the illusion that the banks/corporations don't run this country.
