Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

You want to save money verizon

Cut out all the directors and executive directors 75% stock packages and 40% bonuses. Since when are they part of the executive branch or C suite. ESP some of the directors with 3 or 4 direct reports. No one seems to bring this up but time to level the playing field. Most of these directors have been milking this for years yet don’t know their job. Have some ba--s and trim the fat.

Yeah, Directors and managers are rarely let go only individual contributors who actially do the work while management sit on their a$$ su$king up to top management being yes men/women making direct reports work off hours and weekends. If managers sc--w up they get transferred to manage other team or get a promotion.
Only time seen Director letting manager go was when they worked together as engineers and years later 1 guy took a manager position in a different market and other guy took did some different roles and came as Director in the market this manager was in you could see some friction and come layoff time Director let the manager go.

I know of one director in my VP group that was let go - so there was some movement in that direction.
