mind your own business. We have a person that boasts they are teaching at 2 different colleges every chance they get. Their work products suck, often late and when they do show up they talk about all the papers they had to grade that delayed their deliverables. Go turn this person in.
Ignore it. Start your own business. We all do it and we ask zero permission as we could care less what this corrupt place thinks. We follow no one and listen to no one.
Start your own business. Everyone else is doing it. I run two businesses. And RTO only means I will irk it in the office daily. I could give a f&ck what they think.
Skip your manager, call & report it as a potential COI but do NOT expect WF to do a darn thing about it.
So much nonsense here. You will NOT be fired for reporting unethical behavior that puts the company at risk. Worst case scenario is that your reporting will be ignored. Best case scenario, more deadweight is dropped by the company.
The real risk is not doing anything. At a time when individuals and groups are trying to demonstrate their value the work (or non-work) of your peers can very much reflect poorly on your team and your manager.
You can do either, but it won’t go anywhere except in your file.
Why do you care? Do you gain anything from snitching? WF won’t give you a prize.
It’s not confidential.
Yo OP. Ever heard the saying “snitches belong in ditches”! You’re a jealous tattletale. MYOB! If they are producing, what is it to you, ya brown-nose snitch!
Good way to get your self fired. MYOB as everyone is doing it and has been for 30 plus years and it starts at management. Our regional manager in mortgage used to run his own construction business!
take the advice MYOB and I'll start my side hustle
Had this on a team I was on a few years ago. Our manager was actually good so when we told her she took action and got HR involved. The “investigation” ended when the guy said he sold his company, even though it was a lie. Manager took him out for performance because he was never around and it was peeving the team.
HR was no help, the manager was but that’s going to depend on how good of a manager you have. Since she was the only good one I’ve had in 12 years here, and she left the company because she was fed up with stuff like that, probably not good odds you’ve got a good one but good luck.
Isn't there a DevelopYou annual test for this very scenario?
My former manager made me jump out of an airplane with no parachute. I did a somersault at just the right exact moment and rolled into a perfect landing, uninjured. But it was still dangerous, so I called the ethics line. All they did was breathe heavy and tell me to keep talking. 2 minutes later all I heard was a dial tone.
Forget it. We had a team member running his business. He just kept his job for benefits. Even the manager knew and trust me no one cares. If you call ethics line they will get rid of you. I would BYOB
Remember the '8 ways to beat inflation' email we received last fall? Well "getting a side hustle" was one of the ways to beat inflation per the article. So, let them be, they're only taking the advice provided to us all.
mind your own business and move on.
Quick way to get YOURSELF fired
