Verizon really knocked me down when they laid me off a few months ago, but guess what? It didn't break me. I was convinced I'd be doomed to joblessness when there were so many people being laid off at the same time, but guess what? I found employment within a month. Even a few of my friends who were laid off around the same time have mostly landed new gigs. Take my word for it: there's a whole new life waiting for you after Verizon.

Same here. Started new job nine weeks after severance making 30k more with flex time. Cry, scream and get angry then get your resume together and make finding a new job your full time responsibility. If Verizon gives you 4 weeks to try and find a new job and still get paid use it to find a new job! Use up your personal time!
Verizon, as a brand name, has shameful executive management. Sickening and impacting the livelihood of employees and shareholders. Now the brand name, as well, has been tarnished and beyond repair. What is the repairable solution?
