Can we just this over with? Let the Guilletine drop for God sake, so everybody can move on, despite what their T fate is? Nobody needs to live with this Mental Masturbation. We need to know to make individual contigency plans. It doesn't matter if you are craft or management at this point. Stankey has ran T into the ground. " Just get into the train car you are going to a better place. " Yes we have all been through this cr-p wondering if you have a job on a quaterly of some bi annual basis for the past 15 years. This is different this year. Please pick the lottery winners and let the others move on. End the Dog and Pony Show

1zvp+1mOT7rYd.. not true. A group in Bedmister was told their new designation is Dallas. NO severance. NO relocation pay. If you don't show up in 6 months, it's a COBC violation. PERIOD!
"Not sure how many times we have to discuss this. Some written materials clearly state there should be severance. Leadership all say, yes, there will be severance for those who qualify. "
Well, until they tell us WHO WILL QUALIFY, people are going to wonder, discuss, and worry about it. Leaving people in limbo shows how unprepared T was in laying out this disastrous communication. You are simply guessing that if your hub is in another state, you will qualify. You don't really know that for sure. What if you are in a different state and live within 50 miles of a hub? What are if you are in the same state as a hub, mapped to a hub in webphone, but are hundreds of miles away from that hub? Yet, you were hired as a TW and now they are telling you to commute 300 miles a day? Until they spell out the details, people are left only with speculation, rumors, and vague statements. The rollout of this new strategy was probably the worse thing I've ever experienced in decades of corporate life (both at T and at other well known companies).
"T will not lay you off because you would be entitled to severance pay. They want you to resign so no severance or unemployment. If you do not relocate to your assigned designation, that means you resigned. BTW, relocate means you pay for it."
Not sure how many times we have to discuss this. Some written materials clearly state there should be severance. Leadership all say, yes, there will be severance for those who qualify. Sure, not everyone will qualify for it, and I'm guessing that where the fear and pessimism comes from. People that can physically commute but don't want to, or are unable to due to personal reasons, might not be able to get it, but people that would have to move states, should definitely be eligible, from what we're hearing so far.

Management doesn’t care. They made it clear. “It is about the role not the employee”. BS
So keep on playing those mind games together, Faith in the future, out of the now.
Yes is the answer
And you know that for sure
Yes is surrender
You gotta let it, you gotta let it go
I’m craft and would like nothing more than to be laid off from this disgracefully managed corporation that used to be an international icon! I used to be proud to say I work for ATT, but now it’s embarrassing! Whenever I tell people, I get an earful of negativity about one thing or another and oddly enough, they’ve all left T for another provider.
"You may have thought yourself immune to the proclivity of AT&T"
Actually, no. Never thought I was immune as I watched team member after team member get laid off. Been getting lucky so far, but always assumed it was just a matter of time until my number came up. Maybe that's why I'm not all that scared or worried, and just like OP, simply want them to get it over with, give my severance pay and the the date when I can finally be free.
Oh yeah, masturbation. Go AT&T.
If you don’t already have a contingency plan, you’re f’d. Anyone who has been here any length of time should have seen it coming. They want you gone.
AT&T wants you 24/7 until AT&T doesn't want you. As craft employee I learned this some time ago. You may have thought yourself immune to the proclivity of AT&T to only Fhuck with the Union Dregs. Guess what, AT&T doesn't care about you at all either. You are a cost, a cost that must be managed, a cost that must be Eliminated.
Sorry. This is what AT&T is
