Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

CEO is a joke! A big clown!

The CEO of Verizon made a comment on LinkedIn to talk about the 3 year anniversary of George Floyd’s death and how our company needs to continue the fight for social justice. I am not disagreeing with him but how does this show any leadership on how our company is doing. I get it! He wants to show the works he’s a nice fella and that’s great. Meanwhile our stock was crashing today! How bout showing leadership on how to run this company!!!! We don’t need your social pundits and you telling us what it is to be a good human being.
We need you to show us how to be successful and make money!!! That’s it!!!!

The sad reality, there should not be any DEI.

Posts about inequalities in society the day after shyt canning thousands of front line American workers, many of which are minorities, to send the same jobs overseas for pennies on the dollar.

How's that for social justice, equity and inclusion?

The current Verizon CEO should stop accepting his salary and only be paid US $1/annum. Base the current CEO's remaining total compensation on stock options at varying predetermined share prices. This is a no brainer. With class, the CEO, himself, should make this honorarily gesture without being forced by the Board of Directors.

The VZ CEO needs to cleanup his image. Image is everything. Perceptions are everything. Else the wrong person for this job, thus, should make the personal sacrifice and resign. And the so rumored chosen one, supposedly, is not the right person either.

Hans is playing the diversity game. I have spent time in Sweden. Specifically, in the town where he graduated from the University. I didn't run into ONE black person in Sweden or it's capital (Stockholm). They are lilly white. There is a population of Middle Easterners working hard.

Hans, like the majority, doesn’t give a rats a-s about George Floyd or any DEI initiative to be frank. Hans like many other Fortune 500 CEOs are being pressured to mention it. Look at target’s CEO. Do you think Hans and Brian Cornell both just woke up the other day and thought “wow I should honor/mention George Floyd?” He-l no. They could care less and are just doing what they’re told. Same reason Hans hasn’t been fired yet, he’s on the damn board of Blackrock!

It’s all propaganda and narratives being pushed on us through corporations. Sad world we live in.

Did everyone forget he gave company money to the likes of Al Sharpton through his national action network? Company money not his own. Does he know who Tawana Brawley is?

On his personal time he can talk about anything he likes with his buddies. I dint need anymore of his woke emails, volunteer ideas, and how to live my life. I work at verizon to allow customers to use our service and the company to make money, in return I make money and the employees have jobs. For him to volunteer a second of his time for anything other than running this business and then layoff employees is a disgrace!!!

Do you have a stake in Verizon and to its success? There is a cost for everything including wokeness!!! I have a stake, as an employee and as a shareholder. There is an urgent need for focus distilling the priorities of the Verizon's CEO, employees have livelihoods. Then there is also the customers and shareholders.
