@nke+1mOg1Sh7 same, except 100% remote. It's a sweet gig.

@2tej+1mOg1Sh7 Tech M, Accenture, CGI, etc. have always been remote workers. At the bottom of Stinky's email it clear says applies to AT&T US managers only.

Contractors were always required to be in the office...with exception for some fixed bid, and IBM, off-shore etc..

I was a contractor for 3 years. Sweet gig! Got OT. Had a great hourly rate. Worked in office some and home some. Really liked being not caught up in staff meetings and evaluations and so forth.

Legg will continue to let contractors go. Expect big numbers to have contracts terminated before EOY

Poster who raised issue that “T has brought back so many former marginal employees”:

SO TRUE.

HR can and should fact check how one org surplused employees and another org or SAME or different L3 brings former employee back.

It’s a problem for the business and deliverables and not good for morale.

VPs are not close enough to their orgs so it happens all the time. But

***where is HR through all this?????

There's no room for the employees. The contractors would just make it worse.

They're all afraid to tell Stankey he's not wearing pants, but it's not going to work.

No RTO because they are not T employees. The only way that would have been required is if the contract stipulated contractor were required to work in an ATT office “on prem”. Simple as that.

One of the biggest problems at T has been bringing back so many past employees who had marginal performance as contractors. Just when you think longterm nonperformers are finally gone, they come back!

I wish I was a contractor. Maybe after the layoffs?
