Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Do we have an employee surveillance tool like this?

No. Wells Fargo invests heavily in cybersecurity, but there is nothing in place like that.

Besides, we are in layoff mode and it is clear they don't care about the quality of worker being laid off. It is all about headcount.

Productivity was up during the pandemic and WFH. Now mandated RTO, productivity is down. Lmao if they want to monitor every second, that is not going to increase productivity, just erode the little to no trust left between the employee and management.

It is the poor management practices and treatment of employees that is resulting in loss of production.

No. Even if they did I wouldn’t care. None if this precludes us from our federally mandated protections and allowances. Employment is as per the original hiring agreement.

The only people who genuinely worry about things like this during WORK hours are people who are trying to hide something or cheat an employer. This type of situation eliminates the quiet quitters who put undue burden on the employee base that actually want or must be employed at the organization. I would embrace this if it actually caused the dead wood employees to be let go or step up and become atleast B listers.

There are tools that track productivity - every company uses them. If that WADU post is to be believed, it is another level of monitoring. Facial recognition, machine learning, etc…

Doubt very much this clown show can develop something with that level of sophistication- assuming JPMC actually has.

Surveillance capitalism is real. We need to get on board with Europe about being serious about privacy and putting protections in place against people’s data being exploited.
