Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Strange criteria

I find it strange that a person who is very capable gets laid off, but the biggest pretender and slacker does not.

Is there any logic at all to these layoffs?

How can the remaining employees keep their motivation for work when they see how unfairly their colleagues are being treated?

There is no feelings or logic behind decision. I lasted 4 plus layoff until position was eliminated. Its not based on salary bc I was close with all my teammates and we knew each other’s salaries. I made more and was around longer than 2 that were laid off. The only definite was if you had a poor performance review you were first on the list.

The only thing which was holding vz transfering lot of jobs overseas is govt restricted data/&cpni and i think they have figured it out to secure that organizational data.
Its just a matter of time for company to transfer bulk of jobs to overseas..

Probably because they made more and also often the people who view themselves as very valuable are often colossal pains in the bu-t to management

Overseas vendor agents work cheaper but will destroy the company because they don’t care about the customers. This move was out of hate for America and the American workers. Hans and Sampath are both to blame. Which also stems from the Biden admin.

Someone else on here nailed it, they kept a lot of the mediocre a-s kissers. That wasn’t the case across the board, but certainly the teams with poor leadership.
