I hear from some colleagues that they have almost nothing to do. That's not a good sign. Does it mean that they will be cut soon or not necessarily?

I know someone who did next to nothing for five years before taking VSP. Managers don't want to reduce headcount , that's like saying "yeah doc, go ahead and shrink my dk, I never use it anyway" LOL.
All you people who say you’re doing the work of three people should just stop. No need to ki-l yourself because others are lazy. You’re not getting three paychecks!!!
I work in a central office and thanks for my lazy untrained coworkers I have plennty of work.
Those with no work don’t get RIF’d. In fact many get promoted. Work smarter (don’t do any work) not harder (why work hard).

I relate. I have like 2-3 hours of work to do a day. If I ask for more they don't have anything for me to do.

They don’t really know who is really doing what and who is busy.
Your manager doesn’t want to lose a headcount and neither does theirs. Headcount is a big indicator of how important they are.
Very interesting. Personally, I am currently doing the work that six people were doing before while my id--t SM and M sit around with their fingers up their noses.
