Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The best & first thing anyone should do is hire an Employment Lawyer to negotiate your relocation package or severance.

and move on from there.

You have to get creative if you want to litigate. Forced to commute to a building where none of your team reports? Did you get into an accident as a result? Are you suffering from soft tissue injuries? Is this due to your company's negligence on WFH policies? We could use some case law on the subject to get these companies to behave.

Hm. Well there is no relocation package, so not what is there to negotiate. As far as severance package, it's all clearly defined in the policy, so once again, what is there to negotiate? Why does it make sense to pay some lawyer thousands of dollars to get the same, standard, thing? Honest question here.

AT&T can reassign a job title wherever they want to. YOU decide if you will follow your job. There is no negotiation. You are denial and that’s ok. Lots of people affected by this sh&t are, but the sooner you accept we’re hosed, the better so you can survive this instead of being victimized and wanting it to not be true. Hang in there everybody . We’re all in the same boat.

Anyone who discourages you from fighting for what you’re entitled to is not helping you. Do whatever is best for you & your family.

First thing to do is come here and vent. Lots of details so we can go through it together. Come on.

The Troll statement is getting a little old. I’m starting to believe the ones who are the most aggressive & insulting are hired to bully. I personally think trolls are cute, unlike maggots . Blah creepy worms. I’m sure this website is filled with maggots like yourself.

AT&T doesn’t have enough lawyers to work over 10,000 court cases. The fees alone would cost millions. We are talking roughly 30,000 plus managers.

Severance pay is not required, there is nothing to negotiate. Good luck finding an attorney that would take that case and/or want to do battle with T's legal department. Best way would be a class action suit if it could be proven T broke the law and you could find approx 40+ people in the same situation. When you agree to severance pay, one of the conditions is not to sue.

Negotiate? Is this another post that’s meant to be a joke? Funny one! Haha

Why? You don't have a contract with T that was violated. The only thing you have to go on is state/federal labor laws. I doubt T would attempt to violate those.
