Putting the RTO aside, any info on the June 15 layoff? Groups impacted?

The company will avoid any non management layoffs they can and allow attrition to handle getting rid of union workers. They have no stomach for having to pay union workers to leave. Most union jobs will not be backfilled. Don’t hold your breath for a big pay payout.
What about bargained for employees? Are we safe for the remainder of the year or will certain titles be laid off? Not sure what is going on with the union people anymore these days since there are so many stories floating around!
Yes, it’s on! And affects ALL groups. It’s a battle for survival and there will be many casualties.
Your organization no longer needs to be told they are in an effected work group to get a cold call telling you are terminated . Corey Anthony’s org had no pre call last quarter and people were terminated. So they can do it any time they want.
6/22 is a valid date for management surplus. Just wait.
It's almost like there are different segments of this huge company right?
Or are we all capable of replacing a fiber line chewed on by squirrels?
6/22 is fake news since 6/15 is the union designated day for any bargained for notice of head count reduction, voluntarily or involuntarily! No VTP going out this quarter, unfortunately!
"there's usually plenty of high seniority workers eager and willing to take the 2 year paid vacation before turning on their pensions and 401k funds."
The company would rather make the ride sh---y so people leave in disgust.
Where is the 6/22 announcement date coming from? How are people notified in advance of a layoff?
6/22 notifications with 7/6 off payroll dates. Involuntary with no backfill. Work to be absorbed by whoever is left. CNIO.
You are correct about the problem with the economy is bigger than T. The problem with the economy is the libtards who voted and stuffed ballot boxes to get these Marxist Democrats in office and they have royally F-D up our country. Wish I was young enough to be around to watch the misery these Millineals are going to find themselves in as a result of their own ignorance.
no impacted group calls this go round, no letter of interests. HR ranking turned in this week, employee notification on 6/22, off payroll 7/6.
Glad to be a CWA union worker because we have dates for surplus announcements in our labor contract with June 15th being the next date. Those being surplussed do receive a good termination package of up to 104 weeks pay for those with over 31 years. The good deal is that the company has to offer the VTP before laying off workers Involuntarily and there's usually plenty of high seniority workers eager and willing to take the 2 year paid vacation before turning on their pensions and 401k funds. It's been a nice ride.
@eec+1mTMzttY is correct
Guys…all big companies (Apple, meta, google, Intel, etc..) are doing layoffs, I understand T is doing terribly bad but the issue is bigger than T, economy and job fundamentals are changing, things that need 3 to do, now with technology and sw automation can be done by one person, and that person can be in India or Mexico for half the salary and no benefits
T is over crowded compared to competitors, I think this tricks to cut cost and let people go will continue till T has less than 60k employees only
June 15th is for craft. I have never seen the company announce management layoffs on the same day as craft.
If your group is affected, you have already been informed. If you are getting laid off, you have not been notified yet.
Don't believe for a minute that the surplus won't go forward. The notifications are to go out on 6/22/23 with an end data of 7/6/23.
What's interesting is some organizations aren't impacted while ACE was impacting in March and now July. Every quarter seems to be the plan.
Don't need to do June layoffs-this whole RTO-Hub Locations is the bigger strategy to thin the heard-
