Hearing rumors that a least 17,000 have already elected to leave due to this. Can any collaborate that?

Source citation, please.
“If you are told to relocate to another city and you say no, they will involuntarily let you go and you WILL GET SEVERANCE. Legally, they have no way out of that and they have said that on meetings.”
Not true. If you’re told that you have a new work location and you refuse to report there that’s grounds for dismissal. They’re not going to pay you severance for not doing what you’re told to do. Plus most states are “at will” states where you can be terminated for almost any reason.
You can find the projections data posted on insider, on the same tab that has all of the CEO’s top secret strategy plans for the next 18 months. You haven’t seen it?
To OP This is not made up nonsense. It’s the projection that the company calculated on their expectations of the number that will resign from the policy.
Prove it-where is this information, not saying T does not want employees off payroll and cost savings-just asking where is this projection calculation shared

"Confirmed: next week 15% of Mobility will get their layoff notices, off payroll by June 16th."
Oh thank the Goddess I'm in Legacy T!
People get paid to keep these boards active with views and posts, hence the ridiculous number of made-up nonsense posts.
If you are really an ATT employee, I wouldn't spend too much time on this site. The amount of made-up nonsense is substantial.
Confirmed: next week 15% of Mobility will get their layoff notices, off payroll by June 16th.
Totally Confirmed, seriously.
Completely made up nonsense.
You could live in a hub city and still have to move to a different hub city, so the argument that "85% of people already live in a hub city" is meaningless.
OMG, the mo--ns that keep saying you wont get severance. YOU are a mo--n if you quit. If you are told to relocate to another city and you say no, they will involuntarily let you go and you WILL GET SEVERANCE. Legally, they have no way out of that and they have said that on meetings.
Nice try! Total BS. The notice only had 60k management employees impacted. Of the 60k, 85% live within a hub location. So that leaves 15% (9K) that have to make a decision.
Such B S. Most departments haven’t even made decisions yet. They are just now having HR discussions at 5th levels.
It’s now 17,833.42
No, but someone may be able to corroborate it.
Whatever fire starter
This is bull$hit
Saving from consolidating office space doesn’t make any sense, keep people work from home and let all office expenses go and save more
The idea behind the RTO is to let people go without any severance
No have to cut many thousands of jobs to keep company afloat. One way or another.
“Elected?!
I think some people due to personal reasons won’t be able to move and I also believe the company will give exceptions for those people”
I don’t think so, I know the culture in T very well they will cut jobs when ever they can
Elected?!
I think some people due to personal reasons won’t be able to move and I also believe the company will give exceptions for those people.
If you comply with the RTO you should be fine, the company will save tons of money by consolidating the office space, and won’t need to cut any people
That's pretty close. The actual number stands at 17,329... oh, there's another one = 17,330
Nonsense. Moderator please remove this ridiculous post.
Complete BS, nobody has even been given the option yet.
Pleas stop posting nonsense. 99% don’t even k ow yet how they will be impacted…
If that’s true, then the 15,000 number for employee reduction by end of year that we were told JS wanted would be met…
