Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Listen up !

Love the engagement here, more like collaboration. At the end of the day we are working for our stakeholders and policies like RTO will give us a reason for missed metrics, and how we are gearing up for a successful 2024. Why do you think in a world of cost-cutting, we are spending millions of dollars to bring you back in the office?

Because this AT&T. Not really known for good business decisions the last decade. T buys high and sells low in every venture. Provide me an example were I am wrong.

Do not speak to us about millions of dollars. AT&T debt, 134.7 BILLION dollars. We didn't do that, the "leadership" that your tongue is ri----g is responsible for that.

T Stock $15.81

Makes me want to quit and go work for a competitor. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. Who’s with me?

In many cases outsourcing really is the right move from a cost perspective. Some VPs won’t consider it because their groups would be even smaller. They want the staff for their personal gain/appearance to have more people under them.

We are paying management salaries for work that can done much cheaper. That’s just the truth.

RTO is all about Stankey’s control issues… and encouraging folks to quit/retire without severance… he will then start firing folks for not showing up. This is all about getting folks off the payroll without severance…

RTO will not have a meaningful impact to your metrics. It’s the hub moves that’s causing the issues. Many of the best talent are fully remote and not near a hub. Do you really think losing those people is going to increase productivity? We are already bare bones as it is and now stand to lose 1/3 to 1/2 of some teams. What might work for one group definitely isn’t a one size fits all. What you’ve thrown at us is a one size fits all. How about leaving it up to the AVP and Directors to decide what’s best for their teams.

T is in a serious downward spiral that it can't pull out of! It's trying desperately, but the outside forces are much too great to return to the once great company it was before SBC took over at the helm!
