So been hearing lots of rumors anyone think they may offer the wireline outside forces a package to leave .Kinda makes sense they want people off the payroll & are riffing management .I also hear they may hire some new outside guys at the lower contractual rate and no pensions required as per their last agreement to hire in nj /Ny .So why not if they offered a blanket package pretty sure most of the field forces would accept and leave

Union represented folks are in pretty good shape in the field/CO's . Anyone in the centers union or management well that's another story cause all that work will shift to vendors/outsourcing.
Well i mean the numbers of field techs are so low really so few if the companies plan is have no one on payroll and anyone on payroll at a lower cost then offering a packge and letting the whole field tech group leave makes sense I mean if they really dont want people on payroll then thats a really quick option I know pretty much everyone would leave lets face it no one in field is new the closest new tech has over 25 years so they would leave
Offers are thing of the past.
I doubt VZ would offer a package good enough to get the field folks to leave. The only ones who might take it would be those at or close to retirement age.
So VZ signs a 1B dollar deal with Infy 5 years ago and replaces the majority of its experienced, talented tech workers with cheap labor from India. As a result, our stock goes from the 50s to 30s. We are losing customers. We lost the #1 carrier spot.
And to fix that, VZ is now going to try to replace the majority our field workers with inexperienced, cheap labor/contractors?
That will be the final nail in the coffin for VZ.
who is taking his place??
Guys complained about Kevin, at the end of the day, we will get what is coming up us.
He knew the business, the person coming in is here to break up down and save money. Grass is not always greener folks.
6 and 6 plus $1000 a month until you hit Social Security age.
Not union labor. They are slaves bound by contract.
Bye bye kevin service, what’s coming next is worse
