All of this race to the bottom is a result of Slow Smitty's supposed strategic views that we should rent our network out to anyone for any cost. Typical wireless thinking and why most of the important decisions were made by corporate before the wireless takeover of most of corporate.

These are the same kind of peeps that thought that selling off all of the towers and data centers was wise and then wondered why they could not make money in the dark fiber market. These are the peeps who prance and preach about diversity and inclusion but show no respect for the outside plant workers who have been walking the talk for decades but it is rare to see any of the field people become executive people.

This is how these foolish agreements happen. When the people in the executive offices don't know the customers, the contracts or the business. Welcome to VZ 2.0.

Dish has 70% of the US already covered by it's own network. And since it was built from scratch it is the most advanced network there is. It will take the other 3 carriers years to upgrade to get where Dish is.

Agree!!!! However, how soon can there be another candidate selected? And if there is a void and vacancy, interim, the stock will collapse even further, or an outright takeover for pennies on the dollar.

Blame the Board of Directors and also for NOT having an "Independent Chairperson" [NOT THE VZ CEO's dual role] of the Board of Directors.

" Verizon may come out the winner in this."

You can't be that ignorant, and if you are, then you are one of the people responsible for this nonsense.

If VZ does deal with Amazon it will be wholesale and will lure away customers, because VZ customer service is about to take another dip.

This is like Trac, visible, and every other scam that sells the network on the cheap and accelerates the race to the bottom.

The articles on this say they also are in talks with Verizon. Dish doesn't have the nationwide infrastructure. Verizon may come out the winner in this.

Only matters if the Dish Network service is any good and has a low price point. I think all the telecom's may be a bit oversold on this news.

Amazon is the leader in building an Ecosystem that is hard to leave/easy to work within. Not surprising that they're adding telecom to that Ecosystem.

I think it will be OK. With all the credit given to hardware purchases, it most likely will be a wash. They would just be a reseller, just like the 100's of others VZ has today, just a much larger market. The real question would be what's in the deal and if the network can handle the massive amazon client base.

It would not surprise me at all if Han's the hapless hooores out the Network to Amazon too. The stock is already down a buck because the street knows that Sillyman and Hans the hapless are more interested in G-y Pride Month than selling telecom services at a profit.

The entire management team has to go!
