Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

GSSO From Bad 2 Worse

From 2% growth in one of the hottest technology markets to the 2 ex-PANers leading GSSO that have put GSSO on an accelerated downward spiral that has GSSO losing more than ever before. Only 2% growth is literally embarrassing. That is completely on those 2. Their wholesale changes at the beginning of Q3 has been a complete disaster which has led to the embarrassment of 2%. There is a reason these two couldn’t make it at PAN. It is clear they do not understand the fundamentals of organizational leadership. Layoffs are coming and GSSO will be hit for the 2nd time. In less than a year, that will be two major layoffs under their inept leadership. It is clear that these two do not know what they are doing. The security competition, PAN, Fortinet, etc, continues to grow in double digits and hire, while GSSO is sinking quickly.

@3tlz+1mVIuEgu I’m security sales is an overlay and should be. You’re talking nonsense.

I thought JP was a Security and Collab leader. Which kind of makes me think - haven't heard from him in a while is he still around? I liked his straight talk at first, but not sure Collab and Security are salvageable at this point.

Security sales should not be reporting to the specialist blowhard svp. All he did was hire someone that worked for him in the past that went to PAN. She was a failure at PAN and has been a failure here. Look at her hiring decisions, all former PAN that couldn’t make it there. Security sales is at its worse growth ever due to these bad hires.

The belief that security sales can be treated as an overlay is very problematic. Chuck needs to step in and hire a real executive security sales leader reporting to him.

FYI - PAN security business is significantly larger than Cisco security business and growing double digits on that. That math is pretty easy.

Do you know how math works? Double digit growth on a tiny number doesn’t mean sh-t.

They are making sellers focus on more than one tiny little product. So they aren’t laying anyone off they’re just making them actually work now.
