Has anyone heard anything about Watt Ave location in Sacramento? I live across the street but it looks like I’ll be driving 97 miles to San Ramon. Wondering what the company is planning for the 1100+ people at this location. Anyone else being told they’ll need to drive to the San Ramon Ranch?

San Ramon location is closing very soon
The 5001 executive pkwy west building where we work now is listed for lease for 3.05/sf/mo for all the 277300 sf AT&T occupied space
India is doing provisioning and network administration and the US based digital technicians and lesser titles do the installation and maintenance. Many of the management jobs are not needed now. When India took the good jobs no one complained.

It is chevron that is taking San Ramon office next year, not Exxon
For the guy who mentioned Exxon, I think he mixed up between the two companies
AT&T never had plans to keep San Ramon location, the office was to be closed in 2015 when AT&T sold the building to BR
But the decision was delayed after BR gave AT&T a free lease as part of the deal to stay to 2027 in the North and west buildings while BR renovate the buildings for next tenants
I work from San Ramon office, I go there twice a week, AT&T doesn’t own the building anymore and the lease is ending in 2027 as some mentioned already, the two floors we are using in the west wing are listed for sublease by the bishop ranch, I think they will close this location as soon they get someone to sublease it.
Most likely we all going to Atlanta or Dallas office, I personally prefer Atlanta
San Ramon lease ends in 2027, and the active area used by T is up for lease, the remaining of San Ramon office is closing in 2025 unless Exxon Mobil take the building earlier.

I’m currently full time teleworker, and I don’t work with anyone in the state of California. I walked over to the Watt Ave location once and it was mostly empty as everyone began WFH during Covid. I doubt very much going to an empty office and sitting by myself in a near empty room would have scored any brownie points. Your assessment of what’s happening at the company is not just id--tic but also rude and irrelevant. The question was does anyone know what’s happening to the Watt Ave location. Apparently you do not.
Why would you move to San Ramon in 2023 just the have to do it again to move to Dallas in 2024?
If your position is requiring you to be moved then you’re moving to Dallas or Atlanta. You don’t get to choose to drive to San Ramon because it’s in your state, they are consolidating everything to Dallas and Atlanta right now. Moving to one of the other hubs is not an option.

Many of those jobs went to Dallas, Indy, Conyers.

Absolutely Brutal what AT&T management is doing to its employees! How sad that they can't just force people to RTO, but they have to completely phuck people over by making them report to some obscure location many, many miles from their homes! The ultimate Mother Phuck by a 2nd rate company!

San Ramon is closing in 2025. AT&T India IT employees only cost the company an avg of $33,000. Leadership crashed this company a few years ago with DTV and Warner purchases and now they want us to get in the front row while they crash head on into the Hub city model-no thanks. Give me my 6 months severance and lump sum pension and adios Stankey!
There will be plenty of room at all these locations with all the layoffs and resignations. Over the next 3 years, all the HUB locations will close with Dallas and Atlanta remaining. There will be less than 100k employees by then.
San Ramon will be eventually moved to Dallas.
Holy he-l, there is literally no way what’s left of San Ramon can hold that many people.
