42% of Workers Actively Considering Quitting Their Jobs, Citing Poor Work-Life Balance, Low Pay, and Toxic Company Culture

It's really good to see that all the layoffs are not scaring people into staying at their cr-ppy jobs, which I'm sure is part of their goal.

Most weeks, I worked maybe 5 hours.

When I worked there I only got 5 hours of work done per week but that was because my management demanded I always be on instant message and they changed my first priority every 15 minutes which meant I spent well over 40 hours a week context switching while updating my management on how the context switching was going via IM. Unlike most people I actually want to provide value commensurate with my pay so this was excruciating.

There probably isn’t a better work life balance than Cisco. Most weeks, I worked maybe 5 hours. I’m not exaggerating. Some weeks, I literally did not work at all. If you need a better work life balance, you must want to literally get paid to do nothing.

Easy place to hide. If you have a work life balance issue, you are not very resourceful. I love it here.
