Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

WARN notice for Arizona

So, what’s the rules for WARN notices for Honeywell? They have more than 100 employees so they should but there are exceptions. For example, closing plants with fewer than 100 employees left…I think??? Trying to figure out if they are required to give me a heads up. The WARN website is vague about requirements when it’s a plant closure. And maybe they will just say “you have to commute to the nearest facility. If not, you just quit.”

They will get around the warn act. They get rid of people. Always making sure they’re under the warn act number. In other words, they will keep downsizing. While staying under the magic number for warn act.

They do this all the time at Minneapolis. When I first started at Honeywell. We had over 1100 production employees. Now we have under 650.

I forgot what number they had for the office people. They weeded out all those people too. No warn was required. Then you don’t get any bad press. You keep people coming to Honeywell. Because they believe it’s a stable company, they never see hardly any warn acts.

They also see high dividends on stocks. Now with the new CEO, the stock will go up. I’ve been hearing from Wall Street. It might actually hit 350. We all know how they’re going to do this. Less of us and venturing into new businesses. Selloff, businesses and spin on businesses. Let the games begin.

I’m hoping to get laid off so I can apply for unemployment or I’m at least hoping for a furlough. I’m tired of this toxic company. Not to mention my manager is a sadistic f—k.

Honeywell doesn't give a sh-t about any rules. Don't count on it.

WARN requires that employers with 1OO or more full-time workers give employees 60 days notice in advance of plant closings and mass layoffs if they:

• Close a facility of 50 or more workers
• Discontinue an operating unit of 50 or more workers
• Lay off 50 to 499 workers, and these layoffs constitute 33% of the total work force at a single employment site
• Lay off 500 or more workers at a single employment site

Honeywell provided a WARN notice on March 31, 2023
