It was obvious this was coming; I guess it took this long to finalize the contract with Unysis, the company who will be doing the on-site support. I the meantime, STSSes will spend the the summer "piloting" their replacements, and generating "store dossiers" that will provide store documentation to their replacements. That's being paid to help eliminate your own job. And if they don't stay until the end of September, they will get no severance.

In in store technology support is about to take a nosedive. These type of changes rarely help front line employees.
Senior Technology Support Specialist. The people who came into the stores to fix the computers or phones, etc.

All STSS gone. 12 new roles to replace the 80+ being let go. In store support going to unisys.
The STSS group has an all hands meeting at 11 CST, fun times.
