I haven't used Randstad's Risesmart, but I used LHH's services when they were the company selected by Cisco.

You get out of it what you put into it. The resume writing class and the LinkedIn classes are pretty useful.

Cisco's most recent Illuminate series had a resume writing lecture and a LinkedIn lecture and they conflicted with each other. They even conflicted with themselves. What a shocker.

The resume lecture said that you need to tailor your resume to the job you're applying for, which we all know. But then it said that you LinkedIn profile needs to match your resume. How can you manage that when you apply to two different roles?

The resume lecture said that your resume should be 1-2 pages long and NO longer. It's impossible to put 20 yrs of experience on 2 pages and show all the companies you've worked for. At best, you can put your most recent one or two jobs, then summarize all the others into additional experience, and let's face it, no one cares what you did 20 yrs ago as it's obsolete by now. But, on LinkedIn, you can list all of them to show career progression and increased responsibilities.

Worth a shot. I used them when I took the ER in 2020 when trying to decide if I wanted to get another job. They have a resume writing service that is useful. They also have access to all sorts of training classes. It's free so why not see what you can get out of it.

one initial call - so they could charge the company is my guess - then just pointed me to the site and told me everything I needed to do is there. That was it.
