SVB wastes no time making his impact.

Hold my beer, watch this.
“CRE is somehow remaining untouched...how is that possible?”
CRE is always untouched. They always survive. Not sure why but they do. They are thought of very very highly by senior leadership. In good times and bad, they survive…..and thrive.
Likewise, my team in CB is next to be downsized. I am also aware of the 2 RMs who were laidoff.

CB Treasury Management is a complete dumpster fire with sales dropping of the cliff I hear.
Of course they do, these bafoons are drawn to failure like moths to the flame.
Left unsaid here…..ZERO bankers and/or portfolio managers are getting sliced. It’s all admins, marketing folks, credit analyst types.
CRE bankers never, ever, ever get laid off. They are always protected and paid fat fu----g salaries and bonuses year after year after year. Bank leadership loves CRE banking
Yes, heard two CB RMs were laid off yesterday.. just the beginning, our team is next, be sure to take floating holiday and personal holiday before the laid off, saving all my PTO hours to get paid out.! Don’t feel sorry for me, I’ve got options! I’m totally employable. Will be glad when the chaos is over!
Heard El Paso CB is going to be hit also...
Some of my colleagues in the Bay Area offices in San Francisco, Concord, and Oakland were laid-off. More layoffs are coming next week.
Commercial Real Estate and middle market is getting hit pretty hard.
