Ford needs to end all mass production in Michigan. The union is hindering Ford's ability to be profitable. Ford needs to relocate the assembly plant operations to the conservative southern states where they'll work harder for lower wages (lower cost of living) and NEVER unionize.

@2ydr+1mkj5dCg Let us not forget the management role here. Oftentimes the engineer reports yellow and red status and the manager changes them all to green and removes all reported issues from his/her report to the next layer. Forget about going around the layer to the next layer, they want the all green report (and the ability to deny all knowledge of problems). and you will be severely punished for telling the truth and expelled at the earliest possible moment.
Why are we still in Michigan, again??
Any engineer that attempts to unionize needs to be terminated immediately. Unions are terrible! We used to be allowed to work more than 90 consecutive days at the plants - until the unions ruined that for us all!
Michigan is an anti worker state. We need to relocate to states that have stronger State's Rights. Just like what caused the Civil War.
Good plan. You should be CEO.
Unions have nothing to do with the quality of the cars. Ford only produces engines and transmissions. Everything else is purchased from non union suppliers. It’s the engineers that mange the suppliers. There a ton of ford engineers that just listen to the suppliers and make PowerPoints that tell management everything is fine. As long as it green on the spreadsheet no one will question you.
Exactly! Unions have no place in this great Republic we live in. You should have to work to survive. You accept what they are willing to pay and deal with the hours and days required as well as the working conditions. Take it or leave it.
@1jct The problem with unionization is that there is no way to get rid of the lazy/d-mb/useless/untalented/buttkissers. It also creates another level of beurocracy and you end up with the same mess that we have now.
Engineers need to unionize.
Wouldn't have to put up with the discriminatory practices like all the prior layoffs with race, SGE, DEI and age taking the top spots.
Also, years worked / seniority would count for something, not just getting you to the top of the layoff list.
